Old African Experience Daily Rates

At Rewilding Africa, our daily rates cover all your essentials while you’re out in the wilderness with us — from lodging and meals to guide services, gear, and support.

  • $250 per day for 1 hunter with 1 professional hunter (PH)
  • $200 per person per day for 2 hunters sharing 1 professional hunter

This rate applies to our Old Africa Experience and includes everything needed for the adventure, except for trophies and items listed under “What’s Not Included.”

Luxury Experience Daily Rates

  • For those who prefer an elevated level of comfort and refinement, our Luxury Experience offers premium accommodations, fine dining, and all the modern conveniences — without sacrificing the authenticity of the wild.

    • $350 per day for 1 hunter with 1 professional hunter (PH)
    • $300 per person per day for 2 hunters sharing 1 professional hunter

    This rate covers all high-end lodging, gourmet meals, guiding, gear, and full support throughout your safari. Trophies and items listed under “What’s Not Included” are charged separately.

Observers’ day Rate:

  • old African Experience – $150 per day
  • Luxury experience – $250 per day

Daily Rate Includes

Guiding & Experience

  • Fully licensed Professional Hunter (PH)
  • Experienced trackers, skinners, and bush crew
  • Personalized hunt planning and field guidance
  • Traditional tracking methods and old-school techniques

Camp & Accommodation

  • Comfortable safari-style tented accommodation
  • Sleeping bags, mattresses, camp cots, bedding
  • Mosquito nets and insect control
  • Bucket showers and eco-toilets
  • Daily laundry service

Meals & Beverages

  • All meals: bush breakfasts, field lunches, and hot dinners
  • Tea, coffee, filtered water, and soft drinks
  • Beer, wine, and camp sundowners

Field Gear & Rentals

  • Free use of firearms (ammo at additional charge)
  • Shooting sticks (if needed)
  • Trekking backpacks
  • Sleeping mats and tents for mobile wilderness hunts
  • Cooking and eating utensils, field stoves

Transport & Support

  • In-field transportation (bush vehicle)
  • Trophy care: skinning, field preparation, and cold storage
  • Communication: radios, emergency satellite phone
  • Bush medical emergency coordination (non-insurance)

Permits & Fees

  • Conservation levy
  • Hunting permits and concession fees

Trophy Fees Include

  • The animal’s value as listed on the trophy price list
  • Field recovery and skinning
  • Trophy tag and registration
  • Delivery to local taxidermist

🦌 Note: Trophy fees are only charged for animals successfully hunted or wounded (per fair chase ethics).

Optional Add-Ons / Extras (Quoted Separately):

  • Observer / non-hunter daily rates (includes all meals, lodging, and camp activities)
  • Taxidermy
  • Additional sightseeing or photographic excursions
  • Airport transfers (if not included in your custom package)
  • Special dietary requests or high-end alcohol
  • Travel insurance and medical evacuation insurance

What’s Not Included in the Price

Before & After Safari Travel Expenses

  • International airfare to/from South Africa or Namibia
  • Domestic flights or commercial charter flights to hunting area (unless otherwise arranged)
  • Hotel accommodation before or after the safari (if applicable)
  • Airport transfers outside agreed arrival/departure dates

Documentation & Legal Requirements

  • Passport and visa fees (if applicable)
  • Firearm import permits (if bringing your own rifle — although free rifle rentals are available)
  • Personal travel and/or medical evacuation insurance (strongly recommended)
  • COVID-19 testing or vaccination (if still required by your country of origin or destination)

Trophy Handling Beyond the Field

  • Taxidermy work
  • Dip & pack services for trophy export
  • Shipping or air freight of trophies to final destination
  • Crating, CITES documentation (if required), and customs clearance

Personal Purchases & Expenses

  • Gratuities for staff and PHs (optional, but appreciated)
  • Personal clothing and gear (boots, optics, headlamps, etc.)
  • Specialty drinks (premium alcohol, imported beverages)
  • Souvenirs or shopping during side trips
  • Satellite phone calls or additional comms outside of emergencies

Optional Excursions & Add-Ons

  • Photo safaris, scenic tours, or coastal/urban excursions outside of the hunting area
  • Non-hunting partner/observer activities not included in base rate
  • Special guided services (e.g. birding experts, photographers)
